The Museum of Modern Us
A private collection presented with institutional seriousness, because the most fragile archive deserves the strongest wall text.
Curatorial statement
In the spirit of New York—where tenderness is often forced to move quickly, dress sharply, and still arrive on time—this exhibition proposes the couple as a small, luminous institution. The archive is arranged chronologically not to prove a grand narrative, but to let radical tenderness appear in detail: a route, a meal, a joke, a city, a face returning to the frame. Its form is formal; its method is care.
Beginnings, first rituals, and the quiet astonishment of becoming legible to one another.
Transit, cities, dinners, screenings, and the gentle difficulty of carrying love across time zones.
Recent acquisitions from the archive of still-arriving, still-looking, still choosing the softer interpretation.
World map of us
A real world map now carries the GPS traces embedded in the photographs. The points are modest, but the gesture is large: every coordinate becomes a small proof that intimacy has geography, weather, and a passport stamp of its own.
